Life is hard

I don't know why mom and dad don't understand how hard our life is. They disappear for years at a time, and they don't bring home anything yummy.  All we have is the sun to stay warm, and Zazou to be my pillow.

Though they did give us a little turkey when they came home this last time.

That was good.

Donate to food programs

I found a credit card, sitting on the desk all by itself. So, I donated some money to the Santa Cruz SPCA. One of the projects they do is give pet food to people who are down and out so they don't have to give up their pets. In this current economy, people and pets need all the help they can get.

Anyone who can should consider donating to their local food aid.

What? No Turkey?

They brought home a box that claimed to have a turkey in it, and when I looked there wasn't one there! I feel betrayed, and disappointed!

You would think that this type of thing wouldn't happen, but the photo shows it's true!

Hmph.

Who needs a collar?

I finally got mine off! Woot! It took several years, but the stretchy band broke off and I am free and naked. I am no longer under the tyranny of the collar.

Zazou keeps taking hers off, but it's not broken so it gets put back on...

Heat, I need Heat!

I am posting this for both Zazou and me. Daddy turned off the heater in the den! Just before he left, I was on the chair in front of the oil-cooled heater and he turned it off! And the wind was blowing outside. That means the birds that we watch aren't around. I don't know what I am going to do all day in this freezing house!

World Domination project plan

So, I have started to put together my world domination plan, and have come to the conclusion that I need to come up with a project plan for the domination. As near as I can tell, the plan should be fairly easy. The most popular food, according to the google-web, is pizza. With cookies someplace in the top ten.

So, all we need to do is to hold all of the pizzas ransom, prevent people from making them. People will understand that we cats have all of the power, and will then bow to us and give us everything we want when we want it.

Shouldn't take more than a week I think.

Adopt an adult cat.

I was adopted as an adult cat, I was two years old at the time. My former mom wasn't able to take care of my sister and me and had to give us up. My new mom and dad adopted me over a lot of kittens, because I was prettier and didn't have that spiky fur thing going on. I also knew that it wasn't right to chew on the roll of toilet paper, except during the day... You gotta teach kittens these things, adult cats already know! Plus we make great mentors to kittens!

The sun has come out

So, off to sleep I go. I'm the pretty one on the left...

What's a basement cat?

I just don't understand...

-Zazou

The water beast ate them!

They left in the morning and didn't leave the computer on! We ran out of catfood when we ate it all on Sunday morning! The world was ending! Really!

But they came back and gave us savory chicken wet food. From a new can!

World Domination

Now that Breakfast is over, world domination comes next. We watched Dr. Horrible's Sing-along Blog last night, and determined that was not the way to do it.

I think we need to do the following:

1) stock up on kibble. Zazou keeps batting the kibble under the fridge.
2) Rally all other cats.
3) ... Hmm. sun is shining...

Later,
Calypso.
