Make your bed and sleep in it.

sometimes you just need to make your own bed...

We wish everyone a happy new year.  We'll be hiding out from the booms going on outside tonight...

I knew it was in here somewhere.

My dad tossed something into the waste-paper basket in the living room, and I was looking for it.  But, I thought it was a paper ball and I couldn't find it.  So I decided that my paw needed cleaning.

Then the flashy box came out...

Oh yeah, Calypso got onto the counter and knocked over the bag with the remains of the Christmas dinner.  She got into trouble when she stole one of the "Game Hen" bones and hid it.    She did bring it back into the kitchen, but it was a day later...

Keeping warm

Since my mom has been working at home, she's around to take care of me.  It gets cold in the house, so she lets me sleep in the clothes closet. That's where my dad keeps his sweaters and sweatshirts, which are nice and warm.

I'm not worried about the cat hair not matching his sweaters, since it has black, white, and orange in it.

Did you wash?

I told Calypso that I already washed my ears, and those white tufts are natural, not dirt. She didn't believe me.  -- Zazou

Well, I know how hard it is to see whether your ears are clean, so I had to make sure for you.  After all, if your ears aren't clean, then you can't hear really well.  And if you can't hear really well, then you won't be able to chase the mice if they come into the house. -- Calypso.

Scritching Shoulders

I don't know about anyone else, but when I get scratches, I like to climb up on the shoulder to get them.  It's just so much better there.  I can purr loudly, and know that I am close to my mom or dad.

Sometimes they don't let me, they claim it's because they're not wearing heavy enough clothes.  Isn't their skin thick enough to handle me?

But then my mom took out the flashy box and annoyed me a little...

My mom has been staying home for the last couple of days which is nice.  Though she's not sitting at her desk anymore.  She told me her doctor said something about a bulge in a disk in her back and she wasn't allowed to sit when she works, she has to stand.  But if she does that, she doesn't have a lap...
